Thank you for taking the time to visit the College of Arts
and Sciences. At PVAMU’s College of
Arts and Sciences, we promote excellence in teaching and research, diversity
and unity. Our objective is to prepare students who will make a difference in
the world.
The College consists of eight departments and one division
offering courses leading to fifteen
degrees at the Bachelor's level and
six degrees at the Master’s
level. We seek to develop in our students the traditional liberal arts skills
of critical thinking, analysis, problem solving, and communication.
Furthermore, we intend for our students to acquire some depth in a major field
by understanding how knowledge is generated, organized, accessed, and given
meaning.
