About
Chemistry as a central Science, ties together fundamental concepts from various fields such as mathematics, engineering, medicine etc. The Department of Chemistry offers undergraduate students multidisciplinary versatility in the chemical sciences, and a Master of science Program. Its flexible programs provide excellent preparation for careers in teaching, industry, research, and for pre-professional training in the medical sciences and allied health fields. The department has modern instrumentations and computers are integrated into classes and laboratories. All current faculty members hold Ph.D. in chemistry with diversified area of research expertise. We create a personal and supportive environment for our student, and faculty are directly involved in professional development of our students through undergraduate research with faculty. The department provides travel funds for students to attend professional meetings and presentation with faculty mentors. The money comes from faculty research grants. In addition, Scholarships are provided to outstanding students.

If your goal is to be a medical doctor, biomedical scientists, research scientist, teacher, or work in chemical industry, our program will adequately prepare you. Scholarship aid is available to qualified students interested in majoring in chemistry.
