Let's get one thing clear:
                               I WANT YOU TO PASS MY CLASS!

1. To pass the class, you MUST know how to solve the problems in the book.
2. But you cannot learn to work problems by reading them or watching your instructor work them, any more than you can become a piano player solely by reading about piano-playing skills or attending a performance.
3. Because, as you work through problems, you will find many opportunities to improve your understanding of the ideas presented in the chapter and also to practice your estimation skills and your ability to synthesize concepts.
4. Remember:             To hear is to forget,  
                                        To see is to know, 
                                                To do is to understand.
