The Department of Chemistry welcomes prospective students and
our returning students for 2005-2006 academic year. We are located
in the second floor of the New Science Building. The department has
state-of the-art instrumentation for teaching and research in
chemistry and allied field, multimedia-equipped classrooms, modern
laboratories for teaching and research. The faculty and staff

the Department of Chemistry provide an
environment where students can explore, discover and learn chemistry. This
is done through coursework and research, where students are provided
access to modern instrumentations in both the course work and research
projects. Our faculty members have specializations in analytical,
environmental, inorganic, organic, physical, and biochemistry. Most
of our students continue in chemistry-related fields after graduation,
often attending graduate schools in chemistry, biochemistry, or medicine,
or pursuing careers in industrial research or the biomedical sciences. We
award B.Sc. in chemistry, with degree options
in Biomedical sciences or Forensic sciences , in addition to the traditional
chemistry
option. |
