A Guide to Getting Started

The following steps are recommended.

First, review the faculty research profiles and pick a few faculties whose research areas appeal to you.  Then, make an appointment with these faculties to discuss possible research opportunities in his/her group. Last, select one that fits your interest the best.

It would be helpful to have the following information available when visiting the faculty:

  • Chemistry courses you have finished or under taking.
  • Amount of time you available to carry out research (20 hr/wk max).
  • what's your plan
  • Your available schedule
  • understand the requirement of the research
