POST-BACCALAUREATE CERTIFICATION
Courses included in this program
have been designed specifically for graduate students who are seeking
initial teacher certification at the secondary level.
To be eligible for this program, candidates must
- Hold a bachelors degree from
an accredited university
- Have passed all three sections
of Texas Academic Skills Program (TASP)
- Meet TASP scores requirements
for teacher certification: Reading 260, Writing 220, Math 230
- Have an overall grade point
average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
After admission to the
Post-Baccalaureate Program, candidates must have 24 semester credit hours in one of the
following secondary content areas offered in the Post-Baccalaureate Program:
- Agriculture
- Biology
- English
- Government
- Health
- History

- Industrial Technology
- Mathematics
- Physical Education
- Sociology
- Spanish
- Theatre Arts/Drama

Twelve (12) of these hours must
be 3000 or 4000 level courses. |
