Purpose & Goals
The Division provides support courses for all
undergraduate programs in addition to offering four areas of degree
specialization in History, Political Sciences, Sociology and Social Work. A Master of arts ion Sociology is offered as
well. These specializations help
prepare students to pursue a variety of career options, including urban and
regional planning, public administration, international affairs, public policy,
law enforcement, social work and human services, and educational and legal
services. In addition, The Center for
International and Area Studies is an integral part of the Division. Teacher
education in Social Studies is available through the Division.
